Overview
We are seeking a talented Software Engineer specializing in Image Processing (f/m/d) to join our Data Analysis & Fusion division. This role is pivotal in enhancing our capabilities in sensor data interpretation and analysis.The Data Analysis & Fusion department is at the forefront of integrating advanced sensor technologies to capture extensive information. Our mission is to develop intelligent algorithms that enhance situational awareness and ensure optimal protection for personnel and assets. As a key contributor, you will be responsible for creating and refining image processing algorithms that improve visibility and security for our users.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and enhance modules for real-time image enhancement and analysis.
- Engage in software development on Linux platforms using C/C++, making strategic decisions for implementation.
- Address operational requirements while considering interconnected functions and dependencies within broader systems.
- Conduct rigorous testing of developed algorithms.
- Collaborate on the expansion of an innovative software framework for live video processing and analytics.
- Optimize processes to meet performance standards and requirements.
- Integrate image processing components into user applications and systems.
- Participate in project planning using SCRUM methodologies.
- Prepare necessary documentation to support development efforts.
Willingness to travel nationally and internationally is essential.
Your Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field with a focus on software engineering.
- Extensive experience with embedded devices for optimized image processing (e.g., Nvidia Jetson) and deep learning methodologies.
- Proficient in C/C++ programming and GPGPU programming with CUDA.
- Strong familiarity with Linux systems, OpenCV, Docker, and GStreamer, along with modern software tools (git, Atlassian tools, Qt/QML, CMake, C++17, catch2, buildroot, CUDA, etc.).
- Experience with agile development practices.
- Demonstrated independent and entrepreneurial thinking, with a focus on quality and solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for technology.
- Strong analytical abilities and a readiness to take on personal responsibility.
- Fluency in both German and English is required.
