Senior Global Payroll Consultant – Remote – In-house Position

  • Job Type: Permanent
  • Location: Germany, with remote working options available

Company Overview:

This esteemed organization is seeking to enhance its Global HR Department. You will join a dedicated payroll team responsible for overseeing international pay slips, taxation, and various wage-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate processing of German payroll and coordination of global expatriate payroll
  • Transfer fixed payroll data correctly to the regional platform
  • Input variable pay data into the SAP Payroll System
  • Initiate monthly payroll cycles and address payment discrepancies
  • Manage payments for expatriates assigned internationally
  • Review and amend system-generated payroll reports
  • Contribute to the design and testing of internal controls
  • Conduct ad hoc reporting of payroll data
  • Maintain comprehensive employee payroll records
  • Address inquiries related to payroll for assigned countries
  • Participate in initiatives aimed at improving payroll processes
  • Document procedures and guidelines for assigned payrolls
  • Engage in the development of best practices in payroll processing
  • Perform payroll control reconciliations
  • Stay informed on payroll practices and regulatory changes
  • Build relationships with service providers and HR Managers
  • Deliver exceptional service to internal stakeholders
  • Manage tax payments and regulatory documentation
  • Calculate gross-ups for special payments
  • Generate off-cycle payments as necessary
  • Fund payroll accounts as required

Candidate Profile:

  • Extensive experience in payroll or payroll accounting
  • Familiarity with time management systems is preferred
  • Proficiency in SAP payroll administration is highly desirable
  • Experience in expatriate payroll is a plus
  • Fluency in both German and English is required
