Lead Financial Controller

Position Overview

As a Team Leader in Accounting and Controlling, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of Financial Reports: Generate interim reports, conduct real-time analyses, and create forecasts related to Treasury Management, Cashflow, and capital requirements.
  • Budget Development: Formulate budgets and financial forecasts while reporting any discrepancies that arise.
  • Cost Analysis: Analyze departmental and product cost structures to provide actionable recommendations for cost optimization and enhanced efficiency.
  • Core Accounting Support: Assist in key accounting processes, including:
    • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
    • Conducting tax audits in compliance with relevant regulations.
    • Management of debtors, creditors, and banking relationships.
    • Oversight of main and sub-ledger activities.
    • Asset and master data management.
    • Coordination of inventory counts for warehouses and assets.
  • System Optimization: Enhance existing systems and procedures, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Prepare tax declarations and reporting requirements for compliance with local regulations.
  • Consolidation Activities: Engage in consolidation work for European entities.
  • Intercompany Reporting: Manage reconciliation and reporting to headquarters.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with auditors, tax consultants, and banking institutions.
  • Regulatory Adherence: Ensure compliance with internal processes and regulations, supporting audits and examinations.
Qualifications:
  • A completed degree in business administration with a specialization in accounting or equivalent certification.
  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting and finance, with a focus on financial controlling.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a leadership position.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting standards and reporting procedures.
  • Experience with financial reporting and closing processes.
  • Proficiency in office software, ERP systems, and accounting tools.
  • Ability to analyze large datasets effectively.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and a structured approach to work.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and integrity.
