Strategic Transformation Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Transformation Manager to join our team at the ZEISS Group. As a key member of our Executive Board, you will play a critical role in driving the strategic orientation of our organization and leading the long-term transformation of our company.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Executive Board, management, and business units to develop and implement strategic initiatives that drive the long-term transformation of the ZEISS Group.
- Steer strategic initiatives and manage projects that focus on the long-term strategic direction of the overall group, including the development of an overall operating model and governance structures.
- Support, control progress, and challenge the strategic direction of core transformation programs, such as SAP and CRM, to enable the long-term development of a more scalable ZEISS organization.
- Work in a complex environment across multiple business units, country organizations, and business supporting functions globally.
- Support the cultural development of ZEISS towards a process- and data-driven organization and lead change management initiatives at the corporate and segment level.
- Collaborate with the core team of the CTO area, segment, and country leaders to identify current issues, evaluate new fields of technology, and derive market potential and trends.
- Develop trend-setting decision papers and have an impact on the strategic development of ZEISS' long-term strategic direction.
Requirements
- An outstanding degree in natural sciences, engineering, or business administration with a PhD or MBA.
- At least several years of professional experience within a leading strategic management consultancy, with experience in large transformation programs (digital, processes, data) a plus.
- Deep experience in setting strategic directions for long-term initiatives and steering initiatives.
- Enjoy working in an agile way in networked and interdisciplinary teams.
- Outstanding analytical competence, strategic thinking, and implementation skills.
- Passion for innovation, business development, and enthusiasm for new technologies.
- Very strong soft skills and empathy to lead multiple stakeholders through organizational change.
- Fluent in English, fluent German a strong plus.
