Become an integral part of our team at Siemens Logistics GmbH as a Software Engineering Specialist for Development Tools (m/f/d).

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this position, you will engage in the following key activities:

  • Play a pivotal role in the specification, design, prototyping, and testing of software for engineering toolchains.
  • Document decisions and act as a liaison for the development and support teams regarding tool functionality.
  • Translate business needs into actionable tasks (development, testing, integration, and support instructions) and coordinate their execution with the toolchain architect.
  • Serve as the primary interface between the requirements gathering team, developers, technical teams, and toolchain support, as well as internal clients.
  • Combine technical insight with business acumen to make informed decisions that lead to scalable and sustainable systems.
  • Work in a fast-paced, global setting, demonstrating commitment to results and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate effectively within a highly motivated and skilled team.

Your Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and domestically.
  • Experience in designing complex client/server architectures with rich-client and web-service applications, along with troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication skills with stakeholders and internal teams.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Experience with C# (Visual Studio) / .NET (both .NET Framework and .NET Core), and ASP.NET Core for rich client applications.
  • Familiarity with SQL, database concepts (e.g., PostGres), database administration, and basic knowledge of Docker and PowerShell for CI/CD in GitLab is advantageous.
