About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Buyer to join our team at the REWE Group. As a Category Buyer, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process for a specific category of products, ensuring that we receive the best possible prices and quality from our suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the procurement process for a specific category of products, including sourcing, negotiating, and contracting with suppliers.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and improve product quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and logistics, to ensure that procurement decisions align with business objectives.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure that we receive the best possible prices and quality.
  • Monitor and report on procurement metrics, including spend, savings, and supplier performance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, and experience with procurement software.
  • Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively in a global business environment.
