Expert Casting Design Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Casting Design Specialist to join our team at Nordex Group. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for the mechanical design and support of nacelle and hub casting components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop new casted parts, ensuring they meet the required specifications and standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and update casting components using 3D design and creating drawings under ISO standards.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation relevant for the parts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Identify and resolve casting manufacturing issues, improvement actions, and quality topics, working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Support the Sourcing and Quality Departments during the homologation of different suppliers, ensuring seamless integration and compliance.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Deep knowledge of CAD and PLM tools, with a preference for Siemens NX/Teamcenter.
- Experience in casting design and manufacturing processes, with a strong understanding of structural calculations and casting simulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to discuss casting solutions with suppliers and colleagues.
- A result-oriented and deadline-focused approach, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Fluent English language skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural office setup.
- Preferred experience in the wind power industry and/or in foundries of big components.
