The compensation package is in line with pay group 9b according to the collective remuneration regulations of the TV-Autobahn. The recognition of the pay level is determined based on individual work experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify, configure, and troubleshoot data communication and IP networks
  • Implement, verify, and document specifications according to the IT baseline protection catalogs of the BSI
  • Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot traffic telematic outdoor facilities (power supply systems, variable message signs, or other sensor and actuator systems)
  • Monitor and document maintenance activities within maintenance contracts
  • Ensure quality management (conduct measurement and test procedures and their evaluation and documentation)
  • Assume construction supervision and procurement in traffic engineering projects
Requirements:
  • Completed training as a state-certified technician in traffic engineering
  • Alternatively, successful completion of an electrical engineering training with relevant professional experience or equivalent
  • Several years of professional experience and good technical knowledge in the above-mentioned area of responsibilities (knowledge of measurement principles and configuration of communication computers)
  • Good basic knowledge of IP technology
  • Proficient in MS Office and willingness to learn new programs
  • Class B or BE driver's license
