Graphic Design Specialist

OBJECTIVE & SIGNIFICANCE FOR THE ORGANIZATION

As a key member of an international design team, you will craft compelling product graphics that resonate with the adidas brand, collaborating closely with marketing and development teams.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Stay ahead of global design trends and innovations, applying them effectively.
  • Oversee the creative process to ensure that final products align with commercial goals and brand image.
  • Lead and execute defined projects with a strong creative vision.
  • Design graphics for both international inline and exclusive apparel, guided by the Design Director and in partnership with marketing.
  • Facilitate effective communication with product management and development teams.
  • Create 3D concept representations and digital assets to support accurate development and informed decision-making.

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Implement t-shirt graphic designs that adhere to adidas' visual language and corporate identity guidelines.
  • Translate business strategies into unique and recognizable design languages that meet customer expectations.
  • Guide graphic direction by gathering essential information to create truly international sports graphics, utilizing diverse sources such as:

- Trade publications, trade fairs, and sporting events

    • General interest media, trend analysis services, fashion and sportswear magazines, market visits, and team travel.
  • Generate trend and travel reports for the design team and present insights to marketing.
  • Develop graphic design concepts tailored to specific product areas or projects.
  • Create a variety of graphic elements, including illustrations, typography, logos, sketches, technical drawings, color concepts, and storyboards.
  • Ensure a smooth transition of graphic artworks to the production department, providing all necessary information for the development process.
  • Act as the primary contact for product management regarding product realization and collections.
  • Manage efficient communication and processes between design, marketing, and development teams for all related product issues.
  • Present graphics internally and assist with external presentations to support product launches.
  • Ensure that sketches are uploaded into the internal software catalog.
  • Lead the graphics team, delegating tasks, fostering their development, and guiding them through the design process.
  • Possess strong 3D skills and familiarity with virtual design tools.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Graphic Design or a related field.
  • Proficient in using Apple Mac or PC, with advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator, Freehand, and Photoshop.
  • Solid understanding of graphic design and apparel product knowledge.
  • High level of creativity and innovation.
  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in graphic design.
  • Fluency in English is required.
