Systems Integration Specialist

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated IT Specialist (m/f/d) to join our central IT department. This role is essential in providing the necessary IT services that empower our employees to perform their scientific and administrative duties effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in the IT user service operations, providing first and second level support, along with on-site assistance for central IT services. This includes managing service requests and troubleshooting issues while maintaining our knowledge base.
  • Assist in the management of scientific IT systems, which involves the setup and maintenance of various systems, including those for microscopes, testing equipment, and measurement devices across multiple operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and MacOS.
  • Independently devise solutions to technical problems and collaborate with higher-level support teams to resolve system-related and application-oriented issues.

Qualifications:

  • Completed vocational training as an IT specialist in system integration or a related field.
  • Proficient understanding of current Microsoft operating systems and their integration with server systems, particularly in an MS Exchange environment.
  • Solid knowledge of PC hardware, peripherals, and IP network management.
  • Basic familiarity with various LINUX distributions.
  • Hands-on experience with ticketing systems and ITIL-compliant service processes.
  • Fluency in German at C2 level is mandatory.
  • Competent written and spoken English skills.
  • A Class B driving license is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, a structured and goal-oriented approach to work, and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
