Position Overview
The Benefits Specialist for EMEA collaborates with teams across the Americas and APAC, ensuring the effective administration, inventory management, and governance of benefits programs within the EMEA region. This role also serves as a Continuous Improvement leader for benefits and is integral to the integration processes following acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a comprehensive inventory of all benefits and programs available in the EMEA region; collaborate with global consultants to analyze and benchmark for potential changes and consolidations. Work closely with local HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to propose enhancements during annual reviews. Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and minimize errors.
- Address all incoming inquiries regarding benefits from employees and managers within the EMEA region.
- Generate and deliver various standard and custom reports to meet compliance, claims, and billing requirements, and oversee the approval of invoices related to benefits services.
- Provide oversight and collaborate with HRBPs and HR Services on the implementation of new programs with a focus on the EMEA region.
- Engage with benefits brokers and various vendors to ensure operational efficiency, compliance with applicable laws, and to address complex challenges and solutions. Support Works Council liaisons in EMEA countries by maintaining and clarifying existing local benefit policies.
- Participate in the acquisition process from due diligence through integration, focusing on HR and benefits-related activities; collaborate closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and HRBPs.
- Support and/or lead benefits-related projects in the EMEA region and other areas (APAC and Americas) as necessary.
- Manage the administration of new hires, terminations, and changes to benefits plans, ensuring effective communication with Finance/Payroll and external providers.
- Act as a backup for the Compensation Specialist for EMEA and perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a benefits role, with demonstrated experience in a global organization and exposure to international practices.
- Familiarity with benefit plans in countries such as Germany, the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, Israel, and Italy.
- Experience collaborating with various functions including HR, Legal, HRIS, and Finance/Accounting.
- Proven track record of leading projects successfully.

- Proficiency in English, German, and preferably another European language, both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical capabilities.

- High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
