Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead our Tunnel Construction projects at DB InfraGO AG in Karlsruhe.

Your Responsibilities:

  • As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the technical and administrative leadership of your tunnel construction projects, including the coordination of project engineers and their training.
  • You will ensure the fulfillment of performance requirements across all phases of the project, including technical, cost, time, and quality aspects, as well as obtaining plan approvals and permits for assigned projects.
  • You will be responsible for implementing national building regulations (VV Bau, VV Bau STE, etc.) and EU-wide regulations (TSI, TEIV, etc.) and ensuring compliance with all requirements for commissioning.
  • You will be responsible for concluding performance agreements, contracts with service providers and suppliers within your area of responsibility.
  • You will create and evaluate tenders, accompany the awarding process in collaboration with the procurement team, and implement proactive change, contract, and risk management.
  • You will serve as the primary point of contact for all parties involved in the project, including companies, authorities, and political stakeholders.
  • You will ensure timely operational reporting of your projects.
  • You will represent other project managers in their absence.

Your Profile:

  • You hold a successful degree in a relevant field, such as civil engineering, or have extensive experience in the planning and realization of tunnel construction projects.
  • You have experience in managing complex projects of various sizes, as well as project management and planning of construction projects at DB.
  • You possess in-depth technical knowledge of various trades and project management during the planning and construction phase, particularly for construction under operation.
  • You embody a hands-on mentality and teamwork, and you are characterized by high resilience.
  • Your economic actions and your well-developed sense of responsibility are among your strengths.
  • You act confidently in the project environment and are open to new and innovative ideas and approaches.
  • You achieve a high level of engagement and communication at eye level, enabling you to appear sovereign in dealings with clients and project participants.
