About the Position

The Quantitative Methods in Economics Group at RPTU is seeking a highly motivated and skilled researcher to join our team. As a Research Assistant/Research Assistant, you will be responsible for participating in research, teaching, and administrative activities of the group.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research in applied microeconomics and behavioral economics using cutting-edge empirical methods.
  • Teach courses in statistics, data analysis, and economic policy evaluation.
  • Develop and pursue your own research agenda as a Postdoc.
  • Prepare grant applications and publish papers in international academic journals.

Requirements

  • PhD in economics, statistics, psychology, or related fields (or close to submitting the dissertation).
  • Strong affinity for data and a desire to quantify everyday phenomena.
  • Basic knowledge of statistics and applied microeconometrics.
  • Ability to work independently, structured, and results-oriented.
  • Motivation to acquire new skills.
  • High commitment and enjoyment of teamwork.
  • Proficiency in English or German (fluent in at least one of these languages).
