Responsibilities
Corpay is seeking a Finance Student Assistant to support our Finance division. This role is integral to our operations and will involve collaboration with our external accounting partner to ensure the accuracy of financial data.

Contract Details
This position is a part-time role, structured as a 6-month fixed-term contract, with a commitment of up to 20 hours per week. Initially, the role will require a significant onsite presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting financial planning and reporting for the EMP business, including variance analysis and forecasting.
- Analyzing and developing efficient business processes and internal controls focused on value creation.
- Preparing insightful reports on cost analysis to guide departmental spending.
- Tracking costs against budget and simulating forecasts in line with corporate guidelines.
- Collaborating with our external accounting partner to deliver high-quality monthly financial information.
- Transforming financial statements from Local GAAP to US GAAP and ensuring timely month-end closing.
- Compiling monthly reports for senior management on financial performance.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess a proactive mindset, demonstrating accountability and transparency in their work. Key attributes include:
- Enrollment in a business administration, accounting, finance, or related program.
- Fluency in both German and English.
- A results-driven approach with a commitment to excellence.
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles (German GAAP); familiarity with IFRS or US GAAP is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Excel and other MS Office applications; knowledge of macros is a plus.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment with a high tolerance for uncertainty.
- A strong academic record and a desire to learn.
- Experience with ERP systems and analytical tools is beneficial.
- Prior internship or work experience is a plus.
