About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Management Consultant to join our team at Munich Re. As a key member of our data management team, you will be responsible for the systematic collection and preparation of relevant structured and unstructured data for actuarial calculations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consolidate various external and internal data sources into quality-assured databases
  • Design and implement processes for the automation of recurring data deliveries using rule-based, ML-based, and LLM-based approaches
  • Ensure high data quality for the provisioning of market-leading actuarial analyses
  • Contribute to Munich Re's value-added service proposition by participating in project teams for data-based client solutions
  • Act as Product Owner and interface between IT and business for the further development of data management tools
Requirements
  • Degree in computer science, business administration, economics, or equivalent qualification
  • High level of commitment, team spirit, and integrative personality, paired with strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • Affinity for new technologies and the automation of processes
  • Proficiency in working with data, strong affinity for numbers, and a quality-oriented and structured way of working
  • Knowledge of insurance structures and coverage gained either by working in a primary insurance or reinsurance environment
  • Experience with database structures and tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI)
  • Project Management experience would be a plus
  • Analytical coding skills, especially Python, would be an advantage
  • Fluent in English and German
