Position Overview
As a vital member of our culinary team, the Prep Cook plays a crucial role in upholding the high standards of our Bakery, Café, and Verōnika Restaurant & Bar. Reporting directly to the Chef de Cuisine and Executive Chef, this position is responsible for ensuring the preparation of a seasonal, sustainable, and innovative menu that prioritizes wellness.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining culinary excellence across all areas of the business.
- Support the leadership team in training and mentoring to uphold recipe standards and preparation techniques.
- Ensure consistency in food quality and presentation while managing food costs effectively.
- Complete prep lists efficiently and communicate any shortages to the team.
- Contribute to a smooth and efficient kitchen operation with a focus on enhancing the experience for both members and guests.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures to maintain quality and compliance with health and safety standards.
- Be actively present in the kitchen during peak service times, contributing to team efforts.
- Implement and follow all HACCP safety protocols across kitchen operations.
