About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join our team at Quantum-Systems GmbH. As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and optimization of our motor controller firmware, ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our drones.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain high-performance embedded C code for motor controllers
  • Optimize algorithms to meet real-time requirements and improve system efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline and optimize motor control firmware
  • Conduct ESC and BLDC tests, optimize and tune ESC hardware, and define test cases for our testing team
  • Maintain and optimize the motor test stand, automate tests, and perform post-flight analyses
  • Contribute to the development of embedded firmware for the overall system and support daily embedded development
Requirements:
  • University degree in electrical engineering or computer science or comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience in embedded software development for ESCs and BLDC motor controllers
  • Experience with real-time operating systems, serial communication protocols (UART, I2C, CAN), and reading schematics
  • Proficiency in developing efficient, lean, and modular embedded C code
  • Experience with sensorless BLDC motor control and trapezoidal, sinusoidal, and vector control
