As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for performing activities required for the installation, start-up, technical support, and upgrades of Emerson systems at customer sites. You will work according to the Emerson standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform control system maintenance tasks and performance evaluations.
  • Provide technical support to customers regarding process system inquiries.
  • Perform system acceptance tests, installation, commissioning, training, fault analysis and rectification work at customer sites and installations.
  • Assist in modernization studies and perform hardware and software upgrades and modifications.
  • Be able and willing to perform emergency call-out services to provide customers with fast and efficient services.
  • Communicate issues concerning customer satisfaction or customer requests for Emerson support to the responsible person in Service Management or Sales Management.

Requirements:

  • Completed technical studies in an engineering field.
  • Relevant working experience in an engineering or service position within the process industry such as food & beverages, life science, or chemical.
  • Good communication skills in German and English language proficiency (written/read/spoken).
  • Car driving license and willingness to travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within process automation, DCS (DeltaV preferred), PLCs, control strategies and technologies, commissioning and start-up of automation as well as server, PC, and network equipment as well as familiarity with modern software tools and applications.
