Job Summary

The APAC Supplier Commercial Manager will play a critical role in driving high-profile deals in the Asia Pacific region, leveraging their expertise in the telecom market to negotiate favorable terms with suppliers. This position will also be responsible for reviewing costs and negotiations with suppliers for large opportunities, ensuring optimal pricing and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Engage with Sales, Sales Engineering, and internal teams to monitor project completion and ensure timely delivery.
  2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  3. Utilize market expertise to ensure accurate costing, data integrity, and stakeholder communication.
  4. Maintain current vendor information, including contracts and contact details, in internal databases.
  5. Review and edit vendor contract proposals to ensure alignment with GTT's requirements.
  6. Collect and report on vendor objectives and initiatives, ensuring seamless collaboration.
  7. Liaise with vendors to gather and document contact information, service capabilities, and coverage.
  8. Advocate for issue resolution with vendors, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption.
  9. Document and control access to vendor portals for order submission and trouble management.
  10. Conduct ad-hoc research and reporting on vendor spend, inventory, capabilities, and issues to support various business needs.
  11. Produce departmental documents and maintain accurate filing systems.
  12. Provide quarterly feedback to vendors on performance, ensuring continuous improvement.
Requirements
  1. Market-level expertise in the Asia Pacific telecom market, with a strong understanding of regional dynamics.
  2. Experience in managing wholesale supplier relationships, with a focus on cost optimization and service delivery.
  3. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  4. Self-motivation, good planning skills, and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Advanced PC skills, including proficiency in Windows applications, Excel, and Word.
  6. Strong document and database management skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records.
  7. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, with a focus on results-oriented delivery.
  8. Proven project management skills, with experience in supporting large volumes of suppliers.
  9. Knowledge of vendor contracts and contract negotiations, with the ability to provide expert advice.
Desirable Qualifications
  1. Desire to learn new material in a fast-paced environment, with a willingness to adapt to changing requirements.
  2. Technical knowledge of GTT products, telecom networks, and related technologies.
  3. Four-year degree in Business or a related discipline, with a focus on supply chain management or a related field.
Working Conditions

The role is full-time, with the possibility of remote work. Domestic or international travel may be required for company and vendor meetings.
