About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Application Engineer (m/w/d) Adhesives to join our team at Follmann GmbH & Co. KG. As an Application Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and training to our customers in the fields of plastics, automotive, and textiles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance and support to customers on adhesive application and processing
  • Develop and optimize testing procedures for adhesives and adhesive development in our Follmann TechCenter
  • Identify and evaluate relevant technical factors and implement necessary adjustments to processing parameters in industrial bonding processes for our customers
  • Support sales organizations with part and material testing (textiles, foams, nonwovens, films, extruded materials, etc.)
  • Be responsible for documenting all relevant processes in the job area (reporting)

About You:

We are looking for a qualified professional with a degree in plastics or textiles or a related field, as well as relevant experience in a similar position. You should have knowledge of adhesive application, bonding, and coating processes, as well as material knowledge (e.g., plastics or metals).

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills and a strong interest in building and maintaining customer relationships
  • Good German and English language skills, as well as a willingness to travel (approximately 20% of the time)
