Your Future Role
Our site in Siegen serves as an international center of excellence for bogies. Here, 800 professionals are engaged in the development, manufacturing, testing, and repair of bogies for global rail traffic, ensuring stability and comfort on the tracks. You will report to [HIRING MANAGER] and collaborate with a passionate and skilled team.
Key Responsibilities
As a Supplier Quality Serial Engineer, you will implement and manage the Serial Supplier Quality Assurance policy in collaboration with the Procurement team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing day-to-day management of Non-Conformities.
- Billing suppliers for the Cost of Non-Quality (CONQ S1).
- Ensuring timely and comprehensive supplier containment action plans to safeguard the manufacturing line.
- Challenging suppliers to enforce relevant corrective and preventive action plans and enhance responsiveness.
- Developing and managing a Supplier Improvement Roadmap for underperforming suppliers in accordance with the Supplier Quality escalation process (Green/Yellow/Red status).
- Organizing supplier reviews and conducting site visits as necessary.
- Performing inspections for low-critical parts (not included in the Supplier Part List).
- Collaborating with SPQD, SQ Serial Engineers, and Incoming Inspectors to ensure Control Plans are defined and documented in the ERP system.
- Initiating special process inspections or external lab testing when required.
- Maintaining and publishing KPIs while identifying opportunities for performance enhancement.
- Managing Incoming Inspection team competencies through skills matrices and scheduling training as needed.
- Completing inspections within designated lead times and ensuring priority inspections are conducted promptly.
- Overseeing Incoming Inspection activities when designated as SQ Referent for the site.
Qualifications
We prioritize passion and attitude over experience. While we do not expect you to possess every skill, the following qualifications will contribute to your success in this role:
- Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with supplier qualification standards (ISO, ASME, IRIS, Local Standards, etc.).
- Fluency in English and German.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in Quality or Production.
- Technical knowledge in a relevant field.
- Experience in managing supplier relationships is advantageous.
- Proficiency in SAP or similar applications and 8D Methodology.
- Collaborative, persuasive, and resilient demeanor.
