Position Summary
We are seeking a Managing Producer to oversee the production workflows for our original podcast projects. This role is crucial in managing the daily production activities across various new and ongoing podcast initiatives, ensuring that all productions adhere to timelines and budgetary constraints.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement production schedules and calendars across the department.
- Manage timelines for deliverables and oversee show budgets.
- Coordinate production logistics with both internal teams and external partners.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the podcast content team and other departments to ensure seamless asset delivery.
- Support producers during both remote and studio recording sessions.
- Provide constructive feedback on scripts and sound design for both new and existing shows as necessary.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- A collaborative team player with a passion for creative environments.
- Proven experience in overseeing creative aspects of production and post-production.
- Exceptional project management capabilities with a knack for innovative problem-solving.
- A systematic approach to project management with a proactive mindset.
- Strong self-direction and ownership of projects and processes.
- In-depth knowledge of the podcasting landscape.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background as a producer, production manager, or line producer.
- Experience in budgeting, scheduling, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in on-set problem resolution.
- Experience managing multiple productions in a content-focused environment as a project manager or equivalent role.
- Fluency in both German and English (C1+).
