We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Solution Architect (m/f/d) to become a vital part of our Strategy Projects Tech Team at ABOUT YOU.

The Strategy Projects Tech Team plays a crucial role in guiding our key strategic projects across our entire system architecture. Their mission is to ensure seamless and efficient cross-system solutions that support our commerce operations across various international markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cross-system architectural solutions, understanding the distribution of responsibilities within the ABOUT YOU ecosystem and appropriately assigning new functionalities.
  • Create sophisticated, web-based architectural solutions using suitable programming languages from our existing toolkit (such as PHP or GO), alongside AWS, Containers, Microservices, APIs, and Message Queuing, while defining technical requirements for development teams with a holistic perspective.
  • Assist development teams in navigating complex challenges by providing guidance, considering business needs and potential risks.
  • Oversee the implementation of solutions, proactively identifying and resolving any obstacles that may arise.
  • Maintain architectural coherence across teams by sharing insights and knowledge from various systems.

Who You Are:

Technical Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in IT, with a solid background in solution architecture.
  • Extensive experience in designing complex (cloud-based) architectures, interfaces, and processes.
  • Proficient in solution specification, visualization, presentation, and test planning.
  • Familiar with cloud platforms and services, particularly AWS.
  • Knowledgeable in data storage, processing, and management technologies for efficient handling of large data volumes.
  • Capable of utilizing monitoring and logging platforms such as Kibana, Sentry, and Datadog.
  • Willing to engage with merge requests or existing code (e.g., in PHP, Laravel) to understand business processes.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Adept at conveying complex technical concepts and potential issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Quick learner with the ability to dissect complex problems.
  • Passionate about staying informed on emerging technologies relevant to the industry.
  • Organized and methodical in work approach.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Experience in E-Commerce.
  • Familiarity with high-throughput systems.
  • Proficiency in PHP, Laravel, AWS, and MySQL.
