Job Summary
The Stepstone Group is seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Risk Management department, you will be responsible for supporting the Director of Risk Management in designing and delivering our Risk Management and Internal Controls framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development, evolution, alignment, and sustainment of risk management and internal control strategies across the organization.
- Develop and maintain groupwide instruments and requirements in terms of Risk Management System (RMS) and Internal Controls System (ICS).
- Support and advise functions/entities in designing, documenting, implementing, and maintaining internal controls/risk management measures within relevant processes.
- Educate and work with senior leadership teams to build and enhance risk management capabilities, processes, and awareness.
- Communicate regularly and inform about Risk Management and Internal Controls to gain transparency on different levels of the organization.
- Execute Risk Management and Internal Controls Trainings for relevant functions/entities.
- Instil organisation-wide awareness of the importance of risk and controls.
- Support key stakeholders with their understanding of industry processes and regulations.
- Maintain and improve controls and measures.
- Maintain the GRC tool.
Requirements
- Proven track record of managing risk management frameworks, including development of controls as part of a broad programme.
- Educated to a degree level (master's) or equivalent.
- Detailed understanding of the most relevant value drivers and risks within the organization.
- Comprehensive process know-how in terms of financial reporting and operational processes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong focus on detail and analysis.
- Ability to build credibility, influence at all levels, and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders.
- Proactive, resourceful, detail-oriented self-starter with strong problem-solving skills.
- Expert in MS Office and/or G Suite.
- Comfortability operating in a fast-paced, high growth, rapidly evolving workplace.
