Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Projects Specialist to join our team at MAM Gruppe.

About the Role:

  • Plan, implement, and maintain network and firewall solutions to ensure seamless connectivity and security.
  • Redesign existing MPLS infrastructures worldwide to optimize performance and security.
  • Monitor network performance and security, and proactively troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct network tests and analyses to identify bottlenecks and security gaps, and develop strategies to address them.
  • Lead projects from planning to execution, including time management, resource allocation, and budget control.
  • Collaborate with international IT teams to plan and execute integrations and upgrades.
  • Design and implement security policies and procedures to protect our network and data.
  • Document network configurations, security policies, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance.
  • Support team members with network and firewall-related issues to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements:

  • Degree in computer science, information technology, or a comparable qualification.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in network and firewall administration.
  • Sound knowledge of firewall and switch configuration and administration (preferably Sophos, Fortinet, Cisco, DELL).
  • Experience with network protocols and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, WAN, and MPLS).
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CISSP are an advantage.
  • Ability to take overall responsibility for solution development and implementation.
  • Experience in Windows Server infrastructures is desirable.
  • Expertise in creating holistic network and security solutions is desirable.
  • Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Business fluency in German and English.
