AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. Our focus includes supporting AWS data centers and managing various aspects like servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment to ensure our customers have continuous access to the innovation they depend on.

About the Colt Regional Engineer Role at AWS:

As a Colt Regional Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving Mechanical/Electrical Engineering services, construction, and implementation of enterprise data centers across the globe. You will collaborate closely with Design Engineering Stakeholders, Construction, Operations, and Commissioning teams both regionally and globally to lead projects aimed at meeting evolving customer needs as AWS continues to scale its operations.

  • Work with colo vendors to review the design for new data centers in your region, incorporating AWS products to meet expectations.
  • Act as a resident engineer during new colo construction projects and support construction, commissioning, and handover processes.
  • Troubleshoot and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for site/equipment failures.
  • Support operational issues by providing ad-hoc training and essential equipment reviews.
  • Lead engineering site audits, complex root cause analysis, and develop solutions for equipment failures.
  • Collaborate with various teams to maintain consistency and reliability in service delivery.
  • Initiate and lead multi-region projects and audits within data centers.
  • Evaluate different mechanical/electrical systems to make data-driven decisions.
  • Support the design for existing data center upgrades and capacity improvements.
