EUREX Clearing AG is dedicated to managing various risk types through robust risk management strategies and services that enhance integrity, transparency, efficiency, and the safety of financial markets. The Counterparty Credit Risk Management division is tasked with defining these strategies and effectively executing related procedures.
The Risk Design team within this division is pivotal in conceptualizing, implementing, and sustaining processes that integrate changes into the risk management framework. Additionally, the team plays a crucial role in designing functional architectures that are implemented in numerous infrastructure projects, facilitating professional risk management of Counterparty Credit and other related risks for today and the future. As a Data Scientist, you will be instrumental in advancing the organization's adoption of innovative data and analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Gather, process, and analyze datasets to deliver actionable insights and data-driven recommendations to both internal and external stakeholders. Design reusable data and analytics solutions that cater to a wide array of risk management applications. Develop and manage data products, ensuring the provision of clean, transformed datasets ready for use by risk analysts and other business users in a self-service manner. Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations for both recurring and ad hoc analytical tasks. Collaborate with stakeholders within and outside the risk department to tackle data-related challenges. Implement and uphold data governance policies to ensure data quality aligns with the organization's risk appetite. Engage with clients and client-facing teams to ensure that implemented solutions meet customer needs. Provide training and support to team members on data-related tools and technologies.Candidate Profile
M.Sc. or PhD in a quantitative or economic discipline (Econometrics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Financial Engineering, or a comparable field). At least 4 years of experience in risk management with a focus on data and analytics. Strong understanding of financial instruments (ETD, OTC, cash market), valuation methods, and market risk management techniques. Familiarity with the CCP business model is advantageous. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to effectively convey insights derived from complex datasets. Proficiency in commonly used technology stacks and programming languages relevant to data and analytics (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Power BI, Git, Hadoop, Docker, Spark, Data Governance and Cataloguing tools, etc.). High commitment, motivation, hands-on attitude, and readiness to take on responsibility.
