English Language Childcare Assistant

Position: Bilingual Early Childhood Educator/Assistant (m/f/d, 30h)

We are seeking a dedicated professional in early childhood education who is proficient in English to join our team at Fröbel Bildung und Erziehung gGmbH. The successful candidate will play a vital role in executing our innovative bilingual education approach at our family center.

Our team comprises 15 skilled educators who provide care for 68 children ranging from 4 months to the onset of primary education. A significant emphasis is placed on language development, supported by a bilingual staff member and a social pedagogue specializing in linguistic growth. Our center has a rich history of bilingual education and is eager to welcome a new member who is passionate about this essential mission.

Additionally, we implement the Little Scientists program, which focuses on STEM education for young learners. We pride ourselves on being a family-centered facility, offering extensive support and services to families in our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate all aspects of early childhood education and care in English.
  • Oversee or assist with the integration process for new children.
  • Collaborate with the team to plan, execute, and document educational activities and daily routines.
  • Conduct structured observations and document the developmental progress of children.
  • Foster effective partnerships with parents and guardians.

Qualifications:

  • Native English speaker or equivalent proficiency (C2 level).
  • Currently learning German with at least B2 proficiency.
  • State-certified educator or a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.
  • If not yet qualified, willingness to work as an early childhood assistant while pursuing educator training.
  • Commitment to collaborative work in implementing a bilingual education framework.
