Project Description: The European XFEL serves as a user facility that produces X-ray photon beams with diverse spectral and temporal characteristics. To achieve peak operational efficiency, meticulous control of various electron beam parameters is essential, necessitating effective online diagnostics. The Virtual Diagnostics project has been launched to meet this requirement, aiming to forecast electron beam parameters through a blend of non-invasive diagnostic techniques, theoretical accelerator models, and machine learning methodologies.
