Strategic Purchasing Agent for Electronics

In the role of Strategic Purchasing Agent for electronic components, you will oversee all strategic dimensions of a commodity along with its associated suppliers. Your expertise will be crucial in negotiating contracts and awarding agreements.

You will serve as the primary contact for your commodity throughout the organization, leveraging your expertise, knowledge, and supplier connections to enhance team performance.

The team operates on an international scale, with presence in various countries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing supplier relationships, including engagement with senior leadership
  • Formulating, negotiating, and sustaining framework agreements and long-term pricing contracts
  • Securing and negotiating prices for one-time procurement needs
  • Identifying and cultivating alternative sourcing options
  • Assisting in the operational procurement process
  • Collaborating with the procurement team to develop a commodity strategy
  • Overseeing local and cross-border forecast planning in close partnership with Operations and other business units
  • Accountable for achieving procurement savings

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proven experience in procuring technically intricate goods (including negotiations, contracts, and supplier management)
  • Familiarity with Project Lifecycle Management
  • Proficient in procurement IT systems
  • Experience with electronic components and PCBs is a plus
  • Exceptional communication abilities
  • Self-directed work style and assertive presence
  • Fluency in English for negotiation purposes
  • Willingness to travel for business as needed
