Position Overview
As a pivotal member of a diverse team, you will play a significant role in shaping supplier choices for electrical equipment, ensuring alignment with Siemens Energy's requirements for capacity, capability, and cost-effectiveness. Your collaboration with a global team of experts will be essential in enhancing processes and driving innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison for the Global Commodity Manager in Instrumentation & Controls/Electrical equipment, contributing to the development of procurement strategies and project frameworks, identifying suppliers, conducting capability assessments, and integrating new technologies.
- Foster technical knowledge within the global supply quality network by leading training initiatives for Supply Quality Engineers focused on relevant products and technologies.
- Lead Product and Process Qualification (PPQ) efforts, taking charge of planning, monitoring, and reporting on project milestones, as well as managing budgetary and resource considerations.
- Act as a key authority in enhancing and nurturing strategic supplier relationships, addressing critical technical challenges, and managing a commodity/technology network.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical or industrial engineering, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
- Proven experience in supplier quality management, procurement, and the Instrumentation & Controls/Electrical sector.
- Expertise in supplier qualification, product/process qualification, and technical supplier development to ensure a globally competitive and quality-driven supply chain.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and manage virtual cross-functional teams in an international context.
- Strong organizational capabilities, strategic analytical thinking, leadership qualities, and intercultural proficiency.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
