Software Team Lead

Lastel Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Software Team Lead to join our client's innovative team in Stuttgart. As a key member of the development team, you will play a crucial role in driving the development of cutting-edge AI-driven solutions that transform industrial waste into valuable resources.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in back-end development, team leadership, and DevOps practices. You will work closely with the CTO, data science team, and in-house and outsourced developers to scale the company's innovative platform globally.

This role offers flexibility with a hybrid work model, with opportunities to work remotely. However, candidates should be based in Stuttgart and able to come into the office as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of AI-driven solutions using Python backend frameworks, MySQL, and front-end development.
  • Collaborate with the data science team to deliver high-quality products.
  • Coordinate with in-house and outsourced developers to scale the platform globally.
  • Implement DevOps practices such as Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and cluster management.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on Python backend frameworks, MySQL, and front-end development.
  • Strong understanding of web development principles, RESTful APIs, database design, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices such as Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and cluster management.
  • Experience leading development teams and coordinating with data science teams to deliver high-quality products.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with AI/ML, big data processing, or domains like the circular economy.
  • Additional experience with other front-end frameworks (React, Angular), backend languages, or cloud platforms (Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of process modeling and simulations or bioinformatics.
