About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join our team at Scalable GmbH. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and implementing cutting-edge machine learning solutions that drive business growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and implement various machine learning approaches, including RAG, 3rd party APIs, and LLM agents to enhance our products and services.
  • Collaborate with the team to design and develop end-to-end GenAI Proof of Concepts (PoCs) that demonstrate the potential of machine learning in our industry.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of our MLOps toolset and infrastructure, focusing on model testing and deployment in an AWS environment.
  • Document your findings and insights in our internal knowledge base to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Work closely with the development team to integrate machine learning models into our products and services, ensuring seamless deployment and scalability.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in machine learning, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our solutions.
Requirements
  • Excellent academic background in a quantitative discipline, such as statistics, machine learning, data science, financial mathematics, computational finance, engineering, or physics.
  • Hands-on experience in Python and at least one other programming language, such as Typescript.
  • Fundamental knowledge of state-of-the-art LLM frameworks, RAG, and vector databases, including LangChain, LangGraph, Haystack, and OpenSearch.
  • First-hand experience with in-context learning, few-shot learning, and creating LLM-powered applications, such as chatbots, information retrieval, and document summarization.
  • Experience with ML packages in Python, including pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, statsmodels, tensorflow, and pytorch.
  • Experience with end-to-end ML projects, including data preprocessing, model training, and deployment.
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm to learn new technologies and stay up-to-date with industry trends.
  • Result-oriented and pragmatic approach to work, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Nice to Have
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform.
  • Experience with Cloud Services, including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Experience with CI/CD frameworks, such as Jenkins and Gitlab CI/CD.
