Senior Manager for Non-Ferrous Metals Procurement

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Manager for Non-Ferrous Metals Procurement. As a key member of our Corporate SCM Pooling Direct team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize pooling activities for direct materials, leveraging synergies within procurement, improving competition, and focusing on sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a global transparency strategy for non-ferrous and precious metals, analyzing worldwide demand and supply, regional markets, and suppliers.
  • Formulate a material field strategy at individual value chain levels and regions, aligning with business objectives.
  • Define and implement a common sustainability strategy for raw materials, monitoring trends and market developments, and adapting recommendations accordingly.
  • Develop innovative sustainability 2nd tier models, considering risk and contract management aspects.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to achieve sustainability targets, working closely with the Siemens procurement network and internal cross-functional partners.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a technical or business field.
  • Extensive experience in physical metal markets (refining and electrolysis) and sustainability management.
  • Strong technical understanding, excellent commodity market knowledge, and broad know-how of relevant procurement and supply processes.
  • Professional experience in strategic purchasing within an internationally operating industrial company.
  • Fluent German and English language skills.
