This position is open to current internal Local National Employees throughout Germany, including those employed by the U.S. Forces in Germany, as well as external Local National applicants residing in Germany.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe incumbent will serve as an administrative program specialist and staff action officer for various HR-related topics within the Directorate for Business. Responsibilities include:
- Acting as a liaison between the Civilian Human Resources Agency, Europe, and the unit on personnel management, reorganization, and position management.
- Providing recommendations and assistance in recruitment initiatives and addressing hiring delays.
- Assisting management in preparing position descriptions and explaining classification to employees.
- Advising supervisors and employees on employee relations matters, including performance issues and grievances.
- Researching and providing information on employment law and grievance procedures.
- Conducting special studies and analyses to identify underlying issues affecting workforce morale and productivity.
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Experience in clerical work and office automation skills are required.
- Language proficiency in English and German at level C1 is mandatory.
- A valid German driver's license class B is desired.
This is a temporary full-time position (38.5 hours/week) until the return of the permanent incumbent, not to exceed two years. The position may be filled at the C-6A or C-07 level, with potential for non-competitive promotion based on performance and training completion.
