Head of Cybersecurity

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Information Security to join our team at Spryker. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for defining and implementing our information security strategy, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our digital assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an information security architecture aligned with Spryker's strategies and goals, safeguarding our digital assets.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and devise risk management strategies to mitigate potential threats.
- Create, update, and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Lead the detection and response to security incidents, coordinating cross-functional teams to mitigate threats and minimize business impact.
- Collaborate with various departments, particularly IT, to provide organizational and technical recommendations for enhancing information security.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in existing systems, processes, and procedures to stay ahead of emerging threats.
- Lead information security-related internal and external audits and projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Promote security awareness and individual responsibility throughout the organization, fostering a culture of security.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in information and cyber security, preferably in a similar international enterprise cloud software environment.
- Solid experience in establishing an Information Security Management System function, with a proven track record of success.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in information security, including ISO 27001, SOC-2, TISAX, BSI IT Grundschutz, CIS Controls, NIST, and PCI-DSS.
- Expertise in cloud systems, preferably AWS, with a strong understanding of cloud security best practices.
- Relevant professional certifications, such as CISSP, CRISC, CISM, ITIL, CISA, or similar.
- A degree in IT security or a related field is advantageous, with a strong understanding of security principles and practices.
- Business-level proficiency in English and German is mandatory, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
