Position Overview:
The Project Lead Data Architect will be responsible for delivering a cohesive data solution to support significant enterprise initiatives. This role entails providing architectural guidance and governance through both formal and informal collaboration with technical teams involved in the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive work products for project architecture, transition tasks to technical leads, engage in design and implementation, and document technical debt.
- Collaborate across various teams to create and document architectural deliverables, including solution approach documents, architecture decisions, and application roadmaps.
- Facilitate sessions to gather business requirements and lead architecture design discussions to present potential solutions.
- Oversee the architecture, design, and implementation of end-to-end solutions for projects or programs, aligning with business or infrastructure domains.
- Act as a subject matter expert in IT systems architecture.
- Manage complex projects that require specialized technical knowledge.
- Make informed decisions regarding complex IT architecture challenges.
- Engage with users to ascertain requirements.
- Ensure successful implementation and monitoring of system enhancements to boost efficiency.
- Establish and communicate a unified goal and direction for the team.
- Provide direction, training, and mentorship to less experienced team members.
- Monitor project timelines and budgets.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years in Data Architecture
- At least 8 years of experience in team leadership
- 8 years of experience in data integration and provisioning
- 8 years of expertise in Data Warehouse architecture
- 8 years of experience in leading architectural initiatives
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience with Big Data Architectural solutions
- Knowledge of Retirement Solutions Business Acumen
- Ability to influence stakeholders
