Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our Finance & Legal Team at Motius. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all internal accounting processes. With a flexible work arrangement and a hybrid work environment, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic international setting, either full-time or part-time (32 hours/week).

Your Role

  • You will be responsible for independently processing financial accounting with DateV and preparing monthly sales tax returns and consolidated statements.
  • You will handle bank and cash transactions, ensuring the company's overall payment process.
  • You will create monthly financial statements, prepare annual financial statements for the tax consultant, and support annual budgeting.
  • You will play a central role in annual financial statement activities, calculating provisions and active account receivable postings.
  • You will review invoices in Spendesk for accuracy and calculate and prepare the annual artist social security contribution.
  • You will prepare accounting and reporting, as well as capital calls, for other companies (Spacewalk).

Your Profile

  • You hold a degree in business administration or a related field, with further education in financial accounting and/or balance sheet accounting.
  • You have several years of experience in financial accounting (creditors, debtors) and asset and personnel accounting, and are proficient in DateV.
  • You are knowledgeable in German tax law, familiar with the balance sheet and income statement regulations under the German Commercial Code (HGB), and have applied these in creating monthly financial statements and preparing annual financial statements.
  • You have a high affinity for numbers, excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel, and experience in processing payments in Spendesk.
  • You possess a structured and independent working style, as well as negotiation skills in German and English.
