Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Avionics Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for coordinating the development and certification of the avionics systems of our eVTOL aircraft.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain internal system engineering processes aligned with development lifecycle needs, including requirements management and program milestone deliverables.
- Facilitate the integration activities of newly developed and COTS equipment, including planning integration tests, reviewing test procedures, and conducting environmental qualification gap analysis.
- Coordinate verification activities between the lab test team and the flight test team.
- Support the validation and verification activities of the whole Avionics system.
- Support system level and component level milestones, including PDR, CDR, and TRR.
- Support development assurance activities, including system audits with authorities for ARP-4754A compliance demonstration.
- Generate compliance evidence for certification, including certification plans, test plans, design reviews, and analysis reports.
- Provide support for formal audits and exchanges with EASA.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in aerospace development.
- Good knowledge and practical expertise on the system development lifecycle according to ARP4754A.
- Experience in Avionics functions and technology for communication, navigation, surveillance, indication, crew alerting, and data recording.
- Knowledge of certification deliverables for Type Certificate programs in CS-25/23/29/27 programs.
- Knowledge of aviation standards such as ARP4761 and DO-160.
- Thorough analytical skills and a structured approach for getting things done.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with software and airborne electronic hardware standards DO-178 and DO-254.
- Experience in working in EASA-approved Design Organization (Part21J) is preferable.
