Join Our Team as an Embedded Software Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Software Developer to join our team at FERCHAU GmbH. As an Embedded Software Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software for automotive systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and prioritize software requirements and specifications based on customer needs and technical possibilities
  • Design, develop, and optimize software using C/C++ programming languages
  • Integrate and deploy software on hardware platforms
  • Test and validate software using modular, integration, and system tests
  • Apply agile methodologies and tools for software development, such as Scrum, Kanban, Git, or Jenkins
  • Collaborate with other software developers, hardware engineers, and stakeholders to find and implement the best solutions for embedded software
  • Document and maintain software using clear and understandable documentation and status reports
  • Ensure adherence to quality, security, and data protection standards
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
  • Several years of experience in developing embedded software for automotive systems
  • Excellent knowledge of C, C++, Python, MATLAB/Simulink, AUTOSAR, CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet, and diagnostic protocols
  • Practical experience with common development environments, debuggers, emulators, and test tools for embedded software
  • Good understanding of vehicle functions and systems, such as powertrain, braking, steering, driver assistance, infotainment, etc.
  • Good German and English language skills in writing and speaking
