The Opportunity:

As an Account Development Manager, your primary goal will be to enhance Agoda's accommodation inventory by acquiring new partners. You will play a vital role in expanding Agoda's network of hotel collaborations by establishing and nurturing account relationships. Ideally, you should possess experience in the hospitality or travel sectors, particularly in online travel. The Account Development Manager utilizes their expertise in procurement, e-commerce, revenue management, and the broader hotel/travel/hospitality landscape to oversee Agoda's hotel market and partnership-related activities.

In this Role, you'll get to:

Identify, secure, and cultivate new hotel partnerships to broaden our portfolio and market presence. Clearly articulate the value proposition and advantages of collaborating with Agoda to hotel proprietors and management. Prepare and deliver engaging presentations that highlight the benefits of our services. Negotiate with prospective hotel partners to achieve competitive pricing and favorable terms. Optimize Agoda's accommodation availability, content competitiveness, and business growth for existing hotel partners using data-driven insights. Investigate and resolve rate, availability, and support issues that hinder hotels from maximizing their booking performance, such as connectivity challenges, rate mapping, and extranet management. Collaborate closely with internal teams, including operations, to ensure the smooth onboarding of new hotel partners. Generate project ideas, identify opportunities, and implement innovative approaches in a data-centric environment. Employ creative problem-solving to develop and execute solutions for unique challenges.

What you'll Need to Succeed:

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field. Two to three years of demonstrated success in sales and business development. A solid understanding of the online travel agency (OTA) industry is preferred but not mandatory. A proactive and results-oriented mindset in acquiring and negotiating with hotel partners to create mutually beneficial outcomes. Proven success in acquiring, mentoring, and fostering long-term customer relationships. The ability to think creatively and adapt quickly during negotiations with hotel partners. A collaborative spirit with a professional attitude and strong work ethic. Excellent prioritization and planning capabilities, along with a curious and experimental mindset. Strong strategic and data analysis abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to influence both external and internal stakeholders. Proficiency in German Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
