About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our research and development team at the Mercedes-Benz Technology Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing innovative exhaust gas purification concepts for petrol engines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute tests on cutting-edge exhaust concepts on our highly dynamic engine test bench and in the vehicle.
  • Process, interpret, and document the resulting emission results.
  • Further develop exhaust concepts to improve NOx, CO, and THC conversion, and minimize by-products.
  • Manage hardware for tests.
Requirements
  • Degree in process engineering, chemistry, mechanical engineering, environmental engineering, or a comparable field.
  • Proficient in written and spoken German and English.
  • Confident handling of MS Office.
  • Knowledge of exhaust gas aftertreatment is desirable.
  • Knowledge of combustion engines is an advantage.
  • Commitment to excellence.
  • Team player with strong organizational skills.
  • Interest in technical, chemical, and physical processes, with a passion for practical work.
  • Analytical mindset and strategic approach.
  • Driving license class B.
