Environmental Monitoring Specialist

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Environmental Sampling Technician to join our team at DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting environmental monitoring activities at our transportation infrastructure sites across Germany.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct environmental sampling and monitoring activities at our transportation infrastructure sites, including the collection of mineral waste samples (such as gravel, construction waste, or asphalt).
• Collect samples in a team of two, using a company-provided vehicle equipped with necessary tools and equipment.
• Coordinate with site managers, security personnel, and clients to ensure safe and accurate sample collection.
• Prepare and maintain sampling and monitoring records, and assist in the development and review of project documents.
• This is a field-based role, requiring extended periods of travel, including overnight stays, and occasional work outside regular working hours.
• Maintain and repair equipment and tools as needed.

Requirements:

• A completed technical apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
• A valid Class B driver's license.
• Practical experience with technical equipment and a basic understanding of technical principles.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings and weekends, and to travel extensively throughout Germany.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
