Key Account Manager

BorgWarner is seeking a highly skilled Key Account Manager to join our team in Luxembourg. As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing commercial relationships with key customers, driving business growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive customer strategies to improve profitability and growth.
  • Articulate a clear understanding of market share, competitive position, and profitability at each assigned account.
  • Work with sales management to deploy pricing strategies that are market-driven and based on value provided to the customer.
  • Develop and deploy customer interface strategies, building strong rapport with key decision makers.
  • Develop proactive new business opportunity plans, tracking progress toward sales objectives.
  • Monitor market dynamics, including customer and competitor developments, and funnel relevant information to sales management.
  • Take ownership of total customer satisfaction, monitoring performance on key supplier metrics and pursuing corrective action plans as necessary.
  • Develop sales forecasts for use in the LRP and monitor market trends throughout the year for use in monthly forecast adjustments.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional qualification and experience.
  • Fluent in English, with any other languages being an asset.
  • Relevant professional experience post-graduation, preferably in the automotive, OEM, or Tier 1 background.
  • Hands-on experience in sales and ability to deliver excellent customer experience.
  • Knowledge of MS Office, particularly MS PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to deliver projects and answer inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Business/commercial acumen with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Proven negotiation experience.
  • Ability to think strategically.
  • Proven experience of managing people.
Travel:

Travel will be expected to fulfill the role in order to manage nominated customer accounts.

  • Must able to work alone with minimum guidance, but also be able to operate effectively as part of a team.
