About Us: Klar is dedicated to revolutionizing financial services for underserved communities in Mexico. Digital banking offers a lifeline to those without access to traditional banking, safeguarding their savings from risks such as theft and natural disasters. Many traditional financial institutions find it challenging to cater to individuals with smaller deposits or those residing in remote locations due to high operational costs. Klar aims to reduce these costs, enabling essential access to credit for individuals facing financial hardships or aspiring to expand their small enterprises.

Your Role: We are seeking experienced Server-Side Developers to create adaptable and dependable software solutions that enhance the efficiency of digital banking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop accurate, efficient, and maintainable code, primarily utilizing Java 11.
  • Implement unit, integration, and comprehensive tests to mitigate current issues and prevent future complications.
  • Engage in code reviews to foster mutual learning and knowledge sharing.
  • Experiment with innovative technologies and libraries to optimize development processes.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
  • Produce clear and concise documentation for system users.
  • Recognize recurring challenges across various systems and devise unified solutions through libraries.
  • Design new systems and features of moderate complexity.
  • Estimate implementation timelines for designs to assist in future project planning.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience with technologies such as Java 11, SpringBoot, PostgreSQL, Apache Kafka, Redis, and Protocol Buffers.
  • At least 3 years of experience with microservices, synchronous REST communication, and asynchronous messaging via Apache Kafka.
  • Proficient understanding of algorithms and data structures for load distribution, including sharding and database transactions.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with infrastructure tools like AWS, Jenkins, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
  • At least 3 years of experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with a focus on collaborative design improvement.
