About the Role -
The DB Technology team is a worldwide collective of technical experts, operating across various trading hubs and technology centers. We emphasize the importance of technical proficiency, with our engineers leading the charge in financial services innovation through advanced technologies.
Our Berlin office represents the latest expansion in our global network of technology centers, which is rapidly evolving. Our tech teams and business units adopt agile methodologies to develop #GlobalHausbank solutions from our primary market.
Commercial Banking Division
You will be part of the Commercial Banking Division, which addresses the unique requirements of small and medium-sized enterprise clients in Germany, a targeted area for growth and investment within the Corporate Bank.
We are tasked with the digital transformation of numerous clients across three brands, including the creation of the BizBanking platform, which encompasses the development of digital sales and service processes, as well as the automation of workflows for this client segment.
We are embarking on a comprehensive digitalization of business operations and migrating our applications to a cloud-based architecture. Collaborating closely with our business partners in an agile framework, we work alongside stakeholders and engineers from various sectors to achieve a highly automated and adaptable process and application ecosystem.
As a Solution Architect (m/f/x), you will collaborate within our Squads to design and implement user-centric and efficient digital solutions and processes for our corporate clientele. In partnership with enterprise architects, you will shape the software architecture and establish end-to-end solution designs for new functionalities.
Key Responsibilities
You will oversee the architecture and solution design for features developed within your Squads, balancing requirements, effort, and costs. You will ensure adherence to our architectural principles and alignment with our IT strategy. You will assist the Squads in developing new features and digital processes, as well as transitioning existing processes and features to a new cloud-based solution architecture. You will collaborate with teams to assess the feasibility of designed solutions, identify appropriate technologies, and provide architectural guidance during implementation. You will engage with business and technology stakeholders to explore and expand the solution landscape, ensuring alignment with the existing framework. You will advise product owners, engineers, application owners, and other stakeholders on technical inquiries and challenges. You will operate within an agile environment, providing feedback to enhance our operational methodologies.Required Skills and Experience
A university degree in a technological or scientific discipline or equivalent professional experience, preferably within the Financial Services or Banking sector. Several years of experience as a software architect or lead engineer with solution design expertise, ideally in a scaled agile environment supporting one or multiple Squads. Profound knowledge of contemporary technologies, including cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure), artificial intelligence, programming languages (Java, JavaScript, Python), databases (Postgres, BigQuery), and other solutions. Strong understanding of various architectural and solution patterns, along with excellent analytical skills and the ability to organize complex tasks. A collaborative mindset, thriving in open teams located in multiple regions, with a passion for technology and engineering. Proficiency in English is essential; German is a plus.What We Offer
