Offshore Substation Maintenance Specialist

As a pivotal contributor to the energy transition, you will oversee the upkeep of offshore converter station infrastructures. Your role is essential in ensuring network reliability and advancing renewable energy initiatives.
In the position of Offshore Substation Maintenance Specialist, you will engage with both onshore and offshore converter station facilities that are crucial for linking offshore wind energy projects to the mainland power grid. Your responsibilities will encompass the planning and execution of maintenance and repair operations in accordance with regulatory inspection timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations, including executing switching procedures and supervising the comprehensive functions, maintenance, and repair of the facility.
- Coordinate activities during the construction of both onshore and offshore facilities, conduct intricate functional tests, and take part in commissioning processes.
- Oversee technical and commercial order management for maintenance tasks.
- Set up protection and control systems.
- Facilitate technical training and safety briefings.
Qualifications:
- Completed degree or diploma in electrical engineering, energy technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven experience in electrical engineering.
- Health qualifications for offshore assignments.
- Valid driver's license.
- Fluency in German (minimum C1) and a solid command of English (minimum B2).
Desirable Skills:
- Experience within the offshore industry.
- Familiarity with high-voltage grid systems.
- Proficiency in SAP, database applications, and MS Office.
