Torden LLC is seeking a highly skilled Arabic linguist to provide expert language support services for intelligence operations. As a CAT III Arabic linguist, you will play a critical role in processing Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) data, working closely with our team to support real-world operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Interpretation and transcription of Arabic, specifically Maghrebi dialect, with a high level of proficiency
- Interpretation from/to target language dialect and English, with a minimum of ILR Level 3
- Working proficiency in English, with a minimum of ILR Level 3
- Accurate translation, transcription, and interpretation of complex materials
- Proficiency in typing and computer skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to think critically and work effectively as part of a team
- Understanding of the essentials of all speech in a standard dialect, with a broad vocabulary to rarely require assistance for paraphrasing or explanation
- Ability to follow accurately the essentials of conversations between educated native speakers
- Understanding of radio broadcasts, news stories, oral reports, and public addresses on non-technical subjects
- Active TOP SECRET security clearance with SCI access
- Pass a U.S. Government Counterintelligence (CI) screening and polygraph to obtain a TOP SECRET security clearance with SCI access
- U.S. Citizenship
- Interpretation and transcription proficiency in Arabic, specifically Maghrebi dialect
- Interpretation to/from target language dialect and English (ILR Level 3)
- Working proficiency in English (ILR Level 3)
- Demonstrated ability to conduct accurate translation, transcription, and interpretation
- Must have typing and computer skills
- Must be able to think quickly and work in a professional atmosphere as part of a team
- Ability to understand the essentials of all speech in a standard dialect and have broad vocabulary to rarely require assistance for paraphrasing or explanation
- Ability to follow accurately the essentials of conversations between educated native speakers
