About the Institute
The Zuse Institute Berlin is a prominent research entity dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge through interdisciplinary collaboration. Our team is composed of experts from various fields, including clinicians and material scientists, working together to enhance dental restoration techniques.
Research Focus
The successful candidate will engage in a sub-project aimed at understanding the causes of failures in root canal treatments. Utilizing high-resolution 3D imaging, image analysis, and machine learning, the research will identify common failure patterns and explore correlations between treatment parameters and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct independent research and development on the designated topics.
- Develop, implement, and test innovative methodologies aligned with current scientific standards.
- Collaborate actively with interdisciplinary project partners.

Your Profile
- A master's degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in programming languages, preferably C++ or Python, with daily Linux usage.

- Familiarity with image processing and data analysis techniques.
- Enthusiasm for large data image processing, including segmentation and machine learning.
- Knowledge in geometry processing and morphological analysis.
- Excellent command of the English language.
