We are in search of a skilled Lead Backend Developer with a strong foundation in Golang to join our vibrant Global Bank division at SumUp. In this role, you will play a key part in architecting and implementing a cohesive global platform, facilitating the shift towards a fully distributed, event-driven architecture.
Your Responsibilities
- Working alongside a global team to develop a high-quality international platform
- Designing and upholding robust, event-driven systems
- Ensuring seamless system migration with no downtime for users
- Boosting test coverage and the end-to-end delivery process
- Fostering a culture of engineering excellence and best practices
Your Qualifications
- Proficient programming skills in Golang with a willingness to explore other languages
- Experience in building distributed, fault-tolerant systems
- Strong background in system architecture, data modeling, and API development
- Practical experience with Kafka, Postgres, and cloud-based technologies
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and ArgoCD
- A commitment to writing clear, maintainable, and testable code
